NO BULLSHIT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Have you completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program but hesitated to start teaching?
Or are you teaching the occasional class but struggling to break through into studios?
Or are you teaching the occasional class but struggling to break through into studios?
I offer two-month mentorships for new and aspiring Vinyasa teachers in Vancouver. My program is affordable, pragmatic and efficient. We'll look at and re-calibrate all areas of your current teaching profile and develop a clear strategy for getting you into studios.
IS THIS PROGRAM FOR YOU?
My program is designed for:
This mentorship is not for individuals looking to primarily deepen their practice; if this is your interest check out my information on Yoga privates here. This is also not a 'love-and-light' training. As independent contractors, today's Yoga teachers are required to tackle a capitalistic industry head-on. Additionally, you may even need to confront and integrate an inner fear of making money from Yoga.
However, if your goal is to teach Vinyasa in Vancouver studios, don't pursue another 300-hour program or fall prey to endless trainings that fail to show you the real steps required to enter the industry.
- 200-hour YTT graduates who’ve not started teaching.
- 200-hour YTT graduates who’ve started teaching but feel like they are still struggling to break into the industry.
- 200-hour YTT graduates who studied Hatha during their training and would like to enrich their knowledge of the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition.
- 200-hour YYT graduates with some experience who recently relocated to Vancouver and are looking to get a lay of the land.

I KNOW WHAT IT TAKES IN TODAY'S ENVIRONMENT
Why mentor with me? First of all, unlike senior teachers who entered the profession in an earlier era, I understand the challenges and complexity of navigating the journey from completing a teacher training to actually teaching a studio class in today's market. Despite no prior connections and a relatively short Yoga resume, I was teaching at studios like Semperviva, One Yoga for the People and Yyoga within a month of moving to Vancouver. I can share with you everything I learned along the way.
Secondly, I understand how studios work from the inside. I've managed popular Vinyasa studios in both Canada and the USA. From the perspective of a studio manager overseeing a busy subbing schedule, I understand what stands out and how teachers can quickly get on a subbing list.
In addition to my first hand knowledge of Vancouver's Yoga industry, I also have deep connection to the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya, the 'grandfather' of modern postural Yoga. I believe that being connected to this source tradition will vitalize your instruction of modern Vinyasa Yoga, and I will help you develop your own unique connection to the Krishnamacharya lineage.
