PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION
I teach Yoga privately in two traditional formats, Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Krama, as well as in a highly personalized modern vinyasa style.
The Ashtanga Vinyasa style was systematized by Pattabhi Jois, who studied with Sri Krishnamacharya from 1927 to 1929 in his own village, and then in Mysore from 1932 to 1953 . The Vinyasa Krama style presents the the postures as Srivatsa Ramaswami learned them directly from Shri Krishnamacharya during the period of 1960 to 1990.
All styles can be taught to any level of experience; as an introduction to the practice or as an opportunity to refine your existing practice.

ASHTANGA VINYASAOF THE MYSORE PALACEStudy the Ashtanga Vinyasa primary series in a traditional format. We'll build a strong foundation for the practice through study of the trishtana or three pillars of the practice: breath, bandhas and drishti, and explore each posture with patience and care.
